Needs-
curd - 3/4 cup
sugar -1 cup
oil -¾ cup
milk -½ cup
vanilla -1 tsp
maida / plain flour -2 cup
baking soda -1/2 tsp
baking powder -1 tsp
FOR HONEY SYRUP:
sugar - 2 tbsp
water -¼ cup
honey -¼ cup
FOR JAM MIXTURE:
jam -½ cup
honey -1 tbsp
Desiccated cocount
METHOD
1. sieve maida ,baking powder,baking soda and salt twice..
2. whisk curd, milk, oil , sugar and vanilla essence all together...then
3. add flour mixture to it ..then whisk gently.....
now batter is ready...
4. meantime preheat oven... 180 deg for 10 min
5. grease the baking pan with butter and flour then add the batter in the pan..
then bake it for 55 min ....
Take the cake out from the cake tin..poke holes all over the cake using a wooden stick.
prepare honey syrup -by dissolving 2 tbsp sugar in ¼ cup water... boil the sugar syrup for 2 minutes when the sugar syrup is warm, add ¼ cup honey and mix well.
pour the prepared honey syrup over the cake and allow to seep into the cake. keep aside.
further prepare jam mixture by taking ½ cup jam and 1 tbsp honey in a pan. Heat the pan , let it melt ..
now spread the melted jam over cake ..
also sprinkle 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut over cake.
finally, cut the honey cake and serve.
