Every year on Independence Day and Republic day, flower shows are organized at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden. The event is jointly organized by the Department of Horticulture and Mysore Horticulture Society.
This year the flower show is a tribute to Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar, the last Maharaja of the State of Mysore, to mark his 100th birth centenary. Around 13 lakh flowers used to create a royal theme inside Lalbagh glass house.
